Dr. Henry Ofurune is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Laserblue Consulting Inc., bringing over 25 years of experience in the development sector. He is a seasoned trainer and facilitator whose work sits at the intersection of organizational development, capacity building, and community impact. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy, with expertise spanning training and capacity building, community development, sustainable agriculture, rural livelihoods, entrepreneurship, organizational transformation, and strategic advisory. His professional experience extends across North America and Africa.
Dr. Henry Ofurune collaborates with NGOs, small businesses, community-based organizations, and international development agencies to strengthen leadership, enhance team effectiveness, and design practical, results-oriented programs. He supports organizations in moving from ideas to execution – whether through facilitating strategic planning sessions, delivering customized training, or guiding teams through change and growth processes.
He has led capacity-building initiatives for international organizations such as USAID, UNDP, USADF, IFAD, MISEREOR, and the MacArthur Foundation, applying Technology of Participation (ToP™) methodologies across more than 700 communities and 3,000 businesses and smallholder farmers. Known for his facilitative and participatory approach, Dr. Henry ensures that solutions are not only effective but also locally owned and sustainable. Over the years, he has worked with diverse, cross-sector teams, helping them clarify priorities, align efforts, and deliver meaningful, lasting impact.
